Digital Story

My digital story was a biography of Walt Disney.  My Entrepreneurship students each report on a successful entrepreneur and I am wanting to add the option of a digital report rather than a written report.  So I chose to create my story as something I could use as an example for them.  I decided to use Windows Live Movie Maker as the platform.  I have used WLMM before and have actually taught it in computer classes.  It has been a while so I had to relearn a few techniques and find some of the places the formatting was located.  Once I sat down and actually took the time to work on it, it really didn't take me that long.  Finding the pictures and music was somewhat time consuming.  The sites I used for reference were:
mp3skull.com; seekasong.com; disneyhistoryinstitute.com; topbusinessentrepreneurs.com and Wikipedia.com

So here is my story - I hope it reminds you of some of your Disney memories!

  1. You were successful in reminding me of my trip to Disney last year. :) I truly enjoyed your digital story. It was nice to see your finished product. I especially liked the images you included in the story. They were timed perfectly and really added to the story. I'm sure your students will also enjoy it and like the option of creating a digital story for their project. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love Walt Disney and I loved hearing your take on his story. I never knew Walt moved from Chicago to Missouri so many times, and did all the fantastic things he did. Having a mother named Annette we were well aware of the original Mickey Mouse club and would watch it on Friday nights. I grew up in the era when the Disney channel first hit cable TV. As an avid Mickey Mouse lover and going to Disney Land and World a number of times I was shocked to hear how some of the characters and movie came about. Thanks again for sharing, Mr. Disney was sure an inspiration to all and still is. Melissa S
